Deciding To Go Greek In College?

College can be a really scary place if you go through it alone, but once you choose to go Greek, you will never be alone again!

The relationships you form in your sorority or fraternity are lifelong, and the impact that they will have on you is irreplaceable and unforgettable. From pledging, up until graduation, you will find "forever" friends, but even more than that, you will find sisters and brothers. These are people who will walk through life with you and be by your side to motivate you, encourage you, and see it that you have the kind of friend that you wish to be to others. The benefits of joining a sorority or fraternity are countless! From all the philanthropy and volunteer events you will be involved in, to the leadership and respect you will receive throughout your college community; joining a sorority or a fraternity is the way to go!

While in the Greek system you learn to be a strong leader individually, and take pride in your sisterhood and brotherhood as well.

It is very easy to let your grades slip as you are trying to adjust to life outside of your parents house and on your own. Did you know that students involved in the Greek system at the school they attend have notoriously better grade point averages as well as higher retention rates compared to those students not involved in Greek life? Motivating each other in a strong brotherhood and sister hood creates better students and stronger individuals.

How is going Greek beneficial in life after college? Very! Many of the leaders in the top Fortune 500 companies were all part of the Greek system while in college! Going Greek is an excellent way to network yourself and be accessible to more career opportunities once college is over. Making the decision to join a sorority or a fraternity is one of the most positive and life-changing decisions you can make, but the benefits are endless, and you will not regret it!
